#Proud Papa - Prince Harry Announces to the World Duchess Meghan has delivered a Baby BOY!!

Prince Harry revealed his delight at the royal baby's arrival during a TV statement on Monday in which he heaped praise on his 'incredible' wife.

The Duke of Sussex announced that Meghan had given birth at 5.26am to a boy weighing 7lbs 3oz, having been more than a week overdue.

Prince Harry gushed that the 'little thing is absolutely to-die-for' as he announced the news on Monday after Meghan went into labour in the early hours of this morning.

Speaking from Windsor, a visibly-excited Prince Harry shared his immense pride as he joked of getting just two hours' sleep last night, before calling the birth 'the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined'.

Meghan's hopes of a home birth were dashed when she was taken to hospital on Sunday by Harry and their Scotland Yard security team.

The Mail understands that the Duchess of Sussex – who was a week overdue – was whisked off amid such secrecy that even senior royals weren't told.

It is understood she was taken to a London hospital – most likely the Portland – where even a 'basic' delivery costs upwards of £15,000.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were delivered there.

It is not known whether Meghan, 37, was induced but sources say she remained there overnight before her baby was born at 5.26am on Monday morning, with an elated Prince Harry at her side. Read More from The Daily Mail.
